I honestly never really got into New Years. I've never been the partying type so I never did the whole big count down or made a big deal about making a New Years resolution. However this year I think I just might give it a try. There is something appealing about starting new... a clean slate.
This summer my husband and I each made Bucket Lists, a list of 100 things that we want to do, see or accomplish throughout our lives. It was amazing some of the things we came up with... some seem impossible now, but you never know unless you set a goal. (One of these days I will post it on here)
This year it is my goal to strike some of the things off of my list. 'Keep a New Years Resolution' being one of them... another being to 'Read 50 books in a year'. An enthusiastic goal if I'm being honest, but I goal that I believe reasonable. A book a week is WELL within my capabilities... it's just a matter of continuing that pace for the whole year. You see I tend to go through reading spurts. I will read, read, read non-stop for a month and then all of a sudden I stop and it's another 5 months before I even pick up another book... so that will be challenging.

So what do you think? Any books you would recommend for me this year?
Any resolutions you've been thinking about this New Years Eve Eve?

This Christmas I'm making a lot of my gifts and for my two sisters, both who have moved out on their own this year, I decided to make them each recipe binders filled with family favourite recipes. I've finished them but I decided they still needed some personal touches... so on each section divider I am putting a funny food related quote. I've come up with a dozen quotes but I still need about double that because I want each binder to have different quotes.
These are my categories:
Appetizers and Snacks, Beverages, Breads, Breakfast, Soups and Salads, Sides, Beef and Pork, Poultry, Seafood, Pasta, Desserts, Special/Holiday.
I'd really like it if they were funny quotes... from comedies or popular pop culture references, because my sisters would like that.
Some examples I have already:
"What about breakfast?"
"You've already had it."
"We've had one, yes, but what about second breakfast?" - Pippen and Aragorn, Lord of the RIngs
"Omg, I'm never brushing my teeth again, unless its with a toothbrush made from this burger." - Ted, How I Met Your Mother
"It's a trifle. Its got all of these layers. First there's a layer of lady fingers, then a layer of jam, then custard, then raspberries, more lady fingers, then beef sauteed with peas and onions..." - Rachel, Friends
If any come to mind, PLEASE let me know. Thanks! :D

Ages ago (right after the Order of Phoenix book was released) I got pretty heavy into the Harry Potter fandom. I read a lot of fics... I even attempted writing some. I say 'attempted' because I never actually finished them... maybe one of these days I will...who knows, that's the joy of being a procrastinator, lol. Anyways, I came up with this huge plan of what the Weasley family would be like after the war was over. How many kids everyone would have, who would get married and who wouldn't ect.. which I planned on using in my fic.
I planned out all sorts of dates and ages and character descriptions, lol. And then never used them!
So the other day I was going through old picture CDs looking for pictures for christmas presents and came across all of my old info. It makes me sad that I put so much work into it and never shared it with anyone. So I decided I would share some of it now!
Keep in mind I came up with this after the fifth book was released so obviously its VERY AU. :)
Below are a collection of pictures I've found throughout the years on Flickr and other databases of people that visually describe my characters best.
Well... I hope you enjoyed whatever this is. :D
Maybe one of these days i'll expand on it and actually post some of my fics.

Since it's the holiday season and soon we will be going through new-episode withdrawl, I decided I wanted to do something productive to pass the time. Therefore I am going to make icons for every episode. I realize this is a fairly ambitious undertaking for me since there are some episodes out there that could and have fueled hundreds of icons... and I am still pretty new to the whole icon making scene. But hey, it's an excuse to rewatch the series... like I need one.
Below are some of my favourite moments from the Pilot episode, including some character icons and a smidgen of Jeff/Annie. I hope you enjoy... and if there are any moments thay I have missed and that you would like an icon of, please let me know.
While making these I was really surprised how much I was loving Britta! I didn't really like her in the early episodes and yet most of these are Britta related. I She just made so many awesome faces... How can you NOT be a fan of her after seeing these expressions??
